Hello, dear French Clique.
We come back to you today because we have two projects to propose to you for the next twenty one pilots concert in Paris, on the 15th of February, 2016.
First, we’d like to thank you for your enthousiastic participation for the FPE Project during the Trabendo concert, on November 11th. Tyler himself said during the concert that he was really moved by that, and we had some really positive backup from the FPE, which fills us with joy and proudness for the French Clique. We also hope that you spent an excellent moment during the concert, even if there might have been some problems in the pit, which we are still trying to control.
Finally, the two projects that we are proposing to you for the next concert are the following:
1 / The FPE Project (explanation here)
2 / The dark’s not taking prisoners tonight project
Following the events that happened on November 13th, 2015, we decided to create another project to pay tribute to the victims and to their families.
At the end of the concert, when Tyler and josh will start thanking us, we will sing a part of Car radio (that you will find at the end of this post), holding up LED candles (a crowdfunding has been started to pay them here), and the LEDs of our cellphones.
We chose those sentences because they show the situation, this need to feel united, to not let fear control us. Those attacks were a real shock for each and everyone of us, a call of our abilities into question, of our strengths, of our weaknesses, and of our real needs. But even with this, we are still sure of something: “Peace will win and fear will lose”, and we feel the need to show that we stay united as the French Clique, inside the Clique itself, and that we stand strong, in our will to overcome this fear and this darkness we are facing today (that’s why this project is called “The dark’s not taking prisoners tonight”).
I ponder of something terrifying
‘Cause this time there’s no sound to hide behind
I find over the course of our human existence
One thing consists of consistence
And it’s that we’re all battling fear
Oh dear, I don’t know if we know why we’re here
Oh my, too deep, please stop thinking
I liked it better when my car had soundThere are things we can do
But from the things that work there are only two
And from the two that we choose to do
Peace will win and fear will lose
It is faith and there’s sleep
We need to pick one please because
Faith is to be awake
And to be awake is for us to think
And for us to think is to be alive
And I will try with every rhyme
To come across like I am dying
To let you know you need to try to thinkI have these thoughts, so often I ought
To replace that slot with what I once bought
‘Cause somebody stole my car radio
And now I just sit in silenceAnd now I just sit in silence
And now I just sit
And now I just sit in silence
And now I just sit in silence
And now I just sit in silence
And now I just sitStay alive |-/
this is the first day of my life.
glad I didn’t die before I met you.
